Our daughter...

This website was created in memory of our daughter, Emma Victoria Shelton. She was born in Brandon, Florida on July 8, 2003 and passed away on May 8, 2005 at the age of 22 months. We will remember her forever.

Emma was a true angel on earth. She could light up a room with her smile. No one could resist her charm. Being her mother, I am biased, but she was truly the most beautiful little girl to have ever lived(besides her sister of course!) Not a day goes by that I don't wish that May 7 & 8 2005 could be lived over again. That I could change the events of that horrible day and night. If I could just change one little thing maybe she would be alive. I wish she could have had the chance to experience so many more things in her life.

We miss her every moment of every day. We were guilty of having what we now call "it won't happen to me syndrome". You know-you see some tragedy on the news or in the paper and say to yourself "Oh, thats so horrible. I feel so sorry for that family" then go on about your life with never a second thought as to how that horrible tragedy came about. Those horrible things can happen to ANYONE! It may not always be another family.

We want everyone who views this site to learn a little about who Emma was and a lot about what you can do to make sure this never happens to your family.

Please keep in mind as you veiw this site-it is a work in progress! I am working slowly to get it right but, slowly is the key word! I work on it only after the husband and kids have gone to bed-it is hard to type w/ a 6 mo old on your lap! Please visit often as I am trying to get a bit done each nite.
